You can refer to the “Good Thru” date printed on the front of your debit card. For example 01/24, this means you can use your debit card until January 31, 2024.

Your renewed Visa debit card will be delivered via mail to your mailing address on file with First Citizens.

Yes, you can activate your renewed Visa debit card immediately upon receipt.

Your existing PIN will still be valid with your renewed debit card.

To activate your new Visa debit card, you can do either of the following using your existing PIN:

• Make a point-of-sale purchase at any local merchant
  
  OR
• An ATM transaction at a conveniently located First Citizens ATM

Tap transactions do not apply. Your existing PIN must be entered for your card to be activated.

Once you start using your new debit card, your old card is deactivated.

Your old debit card will expire as per the expiration date and you will no longer be able to use that card. To ensure a seamless purchase experience, please destroy your old debit card by cutting or shredding it.

Yes. You are required to activate your Visa debit card before you can use it

Yes, you will continue to access your bank account(s) linked to your renewed Visa debit card.

At this time, your renewed debit card is free of charge.

You should immediately call 431-4500 or visit a branch to disable your debit card and request a replacement.

If your new VISA debit card is not working, visit any of our conveniently located branches.
