1. Which month can I skip my credit card payment?
Cardholders can skip their credit card payments due in January and February 2025.
2. Who can qualify to skip their credit card payment?
To qualify, personal credit cards must be:
- Active
- In non-delinquent status
- Have an outstanding balance within the Card Limit as at their December statement date
3. Which credit card types qualify for the Skip A Payment offer?
The following credit card types can qualify for the Skip A Payment offer:

4. If I skip my January payment, when next will I need to make a payment?
If you skip your credit card payment due in January, then your next payment due will be based on
January’s statement and become due on February’s payment due date.
5. How do I know if I qualify for the Skip a Payment offer?
Qualifying credit cardholders have been notified of their eligibility via email
6. Is it mandatory that I skip my credit card payment?
Participation in this offer is voluntary. Credit cardholders who do not wish to participate may proceed to make payment(s), no less than the minimum payment on or before their due dates.
7. What are the benefits if I skip my credit card payment?
- Surplus cash in hand
- There are no delinquency implications
- There are no late charges
8. Will I be charged interest if I skip my payment?
Yes. Interest continues to accrue on your outstanding balance.
9. What happens if I have a standing order to my credit card account?
The standing order payment will be applied as scheduled. However, if you wish to skip your payment, kindly send us a Secure Message via Online Banking by clicking the “My Messages” tab and select “Send New Message” or email us at cardservicesdepartment@firstcitizensbb.com.
10. Will late charges be waived if I choose to accept this offer?
Yes, late charges will be waived for your January payment due in February.
11. How do I access further information about this offer?

- This offer is valid for the months of January and February.
- This offer is open to all VISA credit cardholders meeting the qualifying criteria. Business credit cardholders are not eligible to participate in this offer.
- To qualify for this offer, personal credit cards must be:
- Active
- In non-delinquent status
- Have an outstanding balance within the Card Limit as at their January 2025 and February 2025 statement date
- Qualifying credit cardholders will be notified of their eligibility via email
- Qualifying credit cardholders who meet the above criteria may choose to skip their payment due for the months of January 2025 or February 2025 or both months once the set criteria is met.
- For example, if a credit cardholder elects to skip their payment due on January 30th 2025, then the next payment due will be based on their February 9th statement and will become due on March 3rd2025.
- Credit cardholders who choose to participate in this offer and thus elect to skip their payment(s) due in the months of January 2025 and February 2025 will NOT incur any penalties or be classified as delinquent.
- All outstanding balances during the term of this offer will continue to be subject to the normal rate of interest.
- Participation in this offer is voluntary. Credit cardholders who do not wish to participate may proceed to make payment(s), no less than the minimum payment on or before their due dates.
