Overview

The main purpose of the Environment Committee is to strive to make the Foundation a leading example of effective ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) stewardship and promote initiatives aligned to the Foundation’s strategic focus. We aim to create a positive and lasting legacy that shows us to be responsible corporate citizens, and hope to engender a spirit of mindfulness when interacting with the environment. By our investments in projects such as the First Citizens Play Parks and in our support of the Pointe-à-Pierre Wildfowl Trust, we aim to care for our natural environment, thereby caring for those in it.

United Way

Annually, United Way encourages its affiliates to execute one of its major initiatives, the National Day of Caring (NDOC) which is a signature volunteer employee engagement event that takes place on the third Sunday of May. Corporate partners engage with their employees to give of their time and energy for projects that will have meaningful impact in their communities. This year UWTT will host its NDOC on May 19th and has once again invited the Group to be a partner.
