Exploring Culture Through Rhythm: First Citizens Hosts Tassa Workshop

Press Release

At First Citizens, we believe in fostering a deeper connection to our rich cultural heritage. On November 9th, 2024, we were proud to host the 3rd Annual Tassa Workshop in collaboration with the First Citizens Dragon Boys Tassa Band. The interactive session offered members of our team the unique opportunity to engage with the pulsating rhythms of tassa drumming.

Our employees were immersed in the art of tassa drumology, experiencing first-hand the coordination, creativity, and energy that goes into each beat. This experience not only deepened their understanding of one of Trinidad and Tobago’s cultural treasures but also reinforced the value of teamwork and shared achievement, core principles we uphold at First Citizens.

As part of our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, we are committed to supporting cultural activities that enrich our community and provide meaningful experiences for our staff. Through this annual workshop, we continue to celebrate and preserve our cultural heritage while creating a dynamic and engaging environment for our team.
