The 2024 instalment of the annual First Citizens Girls First Festival, themed Dream, Dare, Do successfully concluded, marking a significant milestone in empowering young women across Trinidad & Tobago. Spearheaded by Karen Darbasie, Group CEO of First Citizens, the event emphasized entrepreneurship, providing young ladies in attendance with the inspiration and tools to turn their dreams into reality.
The Festivals, held on July 28th in Trinidad and August 4th in Tobago featured an array of keynote speakers, interactive workshops, and engaging activities centered around the theme of dreaming big, daring greatly, and taking action. Speakers shared their personal stories, insights, and advice to motivate and encourage attendees to pursue their goals fearlessly.
Ms. Darbasie, the driving force behind Girls First Festival shared her vision for the event and the importance of empowering young women, “At First Citizens we believe in the power of community and the importance of investing in our future leaders. The Girls First: Dream, Dare, Do edition was all about creating opportunities for young women to realize their potential and take bold steps toward their dreams.
