First Citizens Hosts its Second Annual Meeting of Shareholders

On Wednesday, May 15, 2024 First Citizens Group Financial Holdings Limited (FCGFH), the parent company of First Citizens Bank Limited and its subsidiaries, hosted its Second Annual Meeting of Shareholders at the National Academy for the Performing Arts (NAPA), Port of Spain. This in-person meeting was led by the Group’s Chairman – Mr. Anthony Isidore Smart and a presentation was made to Shareholders by the Group CEO – Ms. Karen Darbasie.
On the agenda for the meeting were the voting on the resolutions to elect and re-elect Directors, to receive and adopt the Audited Financial Statements and the Report of the Directors and Auditors thereon for the financial year that ended on September 30, 2023 and to re-elect PricewaterhouseCoopers as FCHFH’s Auditors. FCGFH is pleased to report that all resolutions were approved by shareholders.
Re-elected to FCGFH’s Board were Directors – Mr. Ryan Proudfoot, Ms. Franka Costelloe and Ms. Ingrid Melville. Mr. Devindra Ramnarine, the newest member of the Board, will contribute a wealth of knowledge and expertise in Digital Transformation, having acquired over thirty years of experience in digital technology across public and private sectors.
At the meeting the Group CEO – Ms. Karen Darbasie reported on the financial performance and progress of the Group in some key areas and delivered key insights into the wider work of the Group, which enables the organisation to meet the needs of customers and to engage and positively impact communities.
