First Citizens nEo awards Academic Excellence
On October 30th, 2023, First Citizens hosted its annual nEo Educational Awards at its Corporate Centre, Port of Spain, honouring the most outstanding academic performers among its nEo account holders.
In the winner’s row were eight young achievers who topped the categories of Secondary Entrance Assessment (SEA) Award, Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) Award, Caribbean Advance Proficiency Examination (CAPE) Award and Tertiary Level Award.
Making special presentations to the recipients, Karen Darbasie, Group CEO said she was delighted to have met the outstanding young performers and their parents and guardians. “Their success stories are testament to the fact that First Citizens was part of this journey and I know we will continue to be there with them in the future”, Darbasie added.
Andre Ramkaran, winner of the CAPE category said preparing for the exam was a challenge but he was honoured that his bank took the time to celebrate and reward his accomplishments. Meanwhile, Ariel Luke who grabbed the tertiary award prize said “It feels amazing to prove to myself that I have what it takes to be at the top of my game and it’s also a proud moment for my mother who supported me throughout this journey.”
