”Footprints: The Sands of Time, symbolized the coming of the queen who becomes more beautiful with every memory, walking through the sands of time in the legacy of the queens that have gone before.”
The group proudly sponsored the 35th edition of the show, which highlighted the pageant journey of eight young women draped in exquisitely crafted gowns demonstrating culturally rich talent and astute intelligence representing various Tobago villages.
Ms. Arlene St Louis-Brathwaite, Assistant Branch Manager – Canaan, crowned this year contestants and winners of the various categories. They included:
- Ms. Janae Campbell – Ms. Tobago Heritage Personality 2021 and Ms. Intelligence (Roxborough Police Youth Club)
- Ms. Nalia Taitt – Ms. Best Talent (Buccoo Village Council)
- Ms. Kiana Jones – Ms. Best Gown Portrayal (Pembroke)
- Ms. Cassidy Rasheed – Ms. Photogenic (Zante Dance Company)
- Ms. Aaliyah Tobias – (Parlatuvier)
- Ms. Zanewka Morrison – Ms. Amity (Mt. St. George)
- Ms. Keidelia Gordon – (Scarborough)
- Ms. Michelle Noel – (Mt. Grace Prisons Youth Club)
The virtual event paid homage to past queens, coordinators, designers and chaperones who have worked effortlessly to preserve the tradition of the show and the culture of Tobago.
Michelle Noel, contestant, said, “I have gained extensive knowledge from participating in this show. I want to thank the Bank of First Citizens in advance for their continued support in The Ms. Tobago Heritage Personality show and the continued support for the development of young women as well as the preservation of our indigenous cultural art forms.”
