UWI Internship 2019
“Make a difference in our Society,” these were the words of advice provided by Professor Sterling Frost, Deputy CEO – Operations and Administration, First Citizens to graduates of the First Citizens UWI Internship Programme held at UWI’s Teaching and Learning Complex on August 30, 2019.
During their tenure with the Bank, the third cohort consisting of nineteen interns were placed into two groups: Computer Science and Information Technology and, Management Studies. They worked on various ICT and business related projects under the supervision of an assigned mentor. At the end of the twelve week internship, all interns delivered presentations highlighting their assignments and banking exposure.
Professor Sterling Frost, Deputy CEO – Operations and Administration, First Citizens alongside UWI’s Professor Indar Ramnarine, Deputy Principal, Dr. Brian Cockburn, Dean – Faculty of Science & Technology, Dr. Acolla Lewis- Cameron, Dean – Faculty of Social Science and other members from both Faculties extended their heartfelt sentiments and words of encouragement to the third cohort of the programme.
